Fishing Slump Continues, Brook Trout Taken in Pothole

Could have been one of the most difficult fishing days we have ever had. One bright light was Harry and Norm's trek to The Pothole. Caught 3.5# and 2# brook trout (gold Mepps - one near beaver lodge - other on other side of pond). Rest of the crew barely squeaked out 6 small walleye for the entire day (but would have been more except for Mike with Lynn running the motor over their stringer). The picture has become quite clear - the fish are post-spawn, very dispersed, and not very hungry. The late spring has taken its toll. Looks to be a struggle to get our limit for take home.
